Contract of Employment
Your contract of employment will be with the University of Nottingham Ningbo. To adhere to the standard terms and conditions in this location, this will be offered on the basis of a fixed-term professorial contract, extendable by mutual agreement (it is anticipated that this term will continue to be extended indefinitely).
Upon taking up the contract you will be expected to take on the role of Director of Nottingham University Business School, China. It is expected that this will be a rotating responsibility with a five year term of office.

Place of work
During the period of this contract you are required to work at the premises of the University of Nottingham Ningbo in China and occasional travel may be required as part of your normal duties.
Salary
A competitive salary is available for this post, and will be on a point on the Professorial Salary Band. An adjustment will be made to a proportion of your nominal UK salary to take into account differences between cost of living in the UK and that in China including fluctuations in the exchange rate.
You will be paid in Chinese Renminbi at the prevailing rate of exchange on each monthly pay date.
Tax and National Insurance
You will be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance arrangements.
Holiday entitlement
The annual leave year runs from 1 October to 30 September and the annual leave entitlement is 30 days for the full leave year (pro rata for part time staff and staff on fractional contracts).
In addition to your annual leave entitlement, you will be entitled to paid holiday for such gazetted Chinese national holidays as fall within your period of employment in China, in accordance with local custom.
Pension
There is no occupational pension provision applicable to this appointment.
Accommodation
Rental costs up to an agreed level will be reimbursed to you by UNNC.
Home Leave
Once in each year of international service, except in the year of repatriation, you (and any accompanying family) will be provided with return air travel to your home country for the purposes of home leave.
